Brian Mullin

Brian Mullin is a playwright, theatre-maker and dramaturg, born in the USA and working in London since 2012. He writes, teaches, and also works extensively with community groups.


Starting with his most recent show LIVE TO TELL, Brian has drawn on autobiography as a writer/performer. 

LIVE TO TELL has been adapted for VR and is showing as part of BAC's WILD TIMES season. Available  from May 24 to June 13.

Brian's scripts have been developed on both sides of the Atlantic including by The Yard, The Orange Tree, High Tide & Lincoln Center Directors Lab.

Brian was a founding member and resident Dramaturg of international devising ensemble Babakas.  Their debut production Our Fathers was performed across the UK and internationally.  The text is published by Oberon.

Brian holds a BA in Theatre Studies / Literature from Yale University and an MA Writing for Performance from Goldsmiths.  He was a 2001 Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University, where he received an M.Phil. in English, researching Shakespearean performance.


LIVE TO TELL is Brian's debut as an autobiographical performer.
